From the years 1770 through 1880, England's mania for field sports culiminated in the creation of some of the most riveting & beautiful sporting engravings ever published.  Large line engraving which shows an English Colonel by the name of Thornton cheering on the hounds.  "Breaking Cover", April 1, 1811 from the painting by Phillip Reinagle.  The engraving is 20 1/2" x 26 1/2"; the frame larger still.   Some minor foxing - otherwise in excellent shape and framed using museum matting.
