With a Grandfather who owned a successful Philadelphia design firm and a Mother who was both a designer and antique dealer, you could say that design runs in Mary-Adair Macaire’s blood.  Even with a law school education and a fulfilling career in high fashion, her love for all things design led to “extracurricular” jobs: designing the interior of a Sutton Place, NYC restaurant & developing a business plan for a bespoke home line for a French fashion house.  

Extensive international travel & the exercise of creating homes in NYC then Paris then London & Nantucket, Mary-Adair developed a broad multicultural design experience and appreciation for layered interiors that tell a life story. With the encouragement of friends and a few mentors, she finally chose to make her passion a pursuit and Weatherly Design was launched in 2014. 

With two locations on Nantucket and in Beacon Hill, Boston, Weatherly Design works with both residential and commercial clients in City, Coastal & Country environments.
