Let me introduce you to a young tomboy from the environs of Philadelphia & Cape May … Raised by interior designers … (So, she knew the meaning of Beige by the age of five).
Add wanderlust, a love of history and misdirected graduate studies in Maritime law. (The sea wasn’t the problem; it was all those mind numbing insurance liability cases.)
Enter - The City (you know the one I mean) and a chance encounter at the Elsa Peretti counter in Tiffany’s - which opened a door to a rewarding corporate & creative career in fashion at Chanel USA then Chanel Global then as CEO of Pringle of Scotland along with various & ongoing luxury industry projects.
Six wonderful cities later, she is still drawn to the sea and buys an old Nantucket house to renovate. All along the way, her amateur standing with the color beige has developed into a layered, colorful and global palette. So, it is not without some poetic justice that she purchases a 30 year old island business with potential; followed quickly with a major renovation and rebranding. (Mother & Grandfather are very proud.)
